Our studio is located inside Fabric House, giving you direct access to fabrics and the endless possibilities that come with choosing the right materials for your projects.

At Meen Studios, the design process begins before you sit at the sewing machine. You’ll learn how to explore materials, make thoughtful design choices, and bring your ideas to life in a space surrounded by the resources of New York’s fashion community.

Meet Aliyah

Hi, I'm Aliyah, a fashion designer and educator who founded Meen Studios to bridge the gap between learning to sew and learning to design.

After teaching beginner sewists, I noticed that many spent their first year making the same avoidable mistakes. I created Meen Studios to teach the techniques, tools, and design decisions that help students build strong habits from the very beginning.

In every class, we go beyond construction. You'll learn how to choose the right fabrics, understand fit, select notions and closures, use professional finishing techniques, and make thoughtful design decisions that improve the quality of everything you create.
